Im looking into getting one of these, but i would like to know what the compatibility with Linix is. are there any known issues? i know that system 76 uses some Clevo builds in their laptops, im wondering if they are exactly the same or if they get different hardware to make it Linix friendly.

    thanks

I'm running arch flawlessly on my P150HM. Clevos are _usually_ pretty Linux-freidnly. Can't say anything for sure about the W150HR though.

Optimus has some issues with Linux, though last I read some alpha or beta drivers were being released by some Linux people. Might want to look into this in the Linux forum, since you won't be able to use the 555m if the issue is still around.

Most of the System76 laptops seem to be 8130/8150 models. These models don't utlilize optimus because of now, it's still got some driver issues and Clevo chose to forgo using it. This means there are currently power issues when running linux on an optimus enabled laptop (the card runs at full power and does not give you any benefit, as all work is processed through the IGP)

The 8130/8150 should work fine with linux because they do not use optimus and the discrete graphics cards are exposed directly to the operating system (and wired to the screen).
