Thread without any content.. I'll try posting it again:

    Dear all,

First of all i would like to apologise if this is the wrong section!

As we all know, Kobalt went bust recently and so did my 4 year warranty with them. Apart from losing my warranty, i have no issues with them (just to clarify).

Yesterday my laptop randomly decided to freeze at the bios screen (once it starts up). All i did was shut it down during the morning and nothing else. After removing the batteries and trying to do whatever i read on the internet, i took it to a technician who flashed the bios for me (found a link for the bios from these forums), re-applied thermal paste and all seems well now.

    BUT:

I have the following few questions:

    1) Do you know where i can find spare W150HRM parts? such as the motherboard or touchpad?
    2) Any suggestions of how to avoid any other bios issues? (apart from praying)
    3) Any ideas about 3rd party warranty in the UK?

It is a pretty expensive machine and i would like it to last for a few years! My dell inspiron 1520 is still working (even though the inverter gave up a few months ago!)

    Thanks
