Have had the W150 for 10 months. In the last couple of days I have noticed a problem with the battery icon in the system tray. Whether connected to the AC adapter or not, it still shows plugged in and charging. Sometimes it shows the "charging" animation - sometimes not but still when you place the cursor over the icon, it says XX% available (plugged in, charging). At times, the icon will alternate between plugged in and not plugged in which also switches the screen brightness between full (my plugged in setting) and ~80% full (my on-battery setting). According to the icon message, the battery does charge when plugged in.

I have uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI-compliant Control Method battery in Device Manager, rebooted and allowed it to re-install. I have also tried shutting down, unplugging the adapter, removing the battery and pressing the power button for 60 seconds. No change.

Am I the only one to have run into this?

    Thanks for any assistance.

I don't have this exact issue, but I have noticed some thing with my wireless icon. I have a more powerful USB wifi tower connected (thus the Intel Centrino card is disabled), and I've noticed that sometimes, even when my connection is fine, the wireless icon will dim and show the red "x" to symbolize some kind of malfunction with the connection. After a minute it will go back to white and full bars. It seems like an icon fail to me.

Also, a few days ago I noticed when I pressed the sound icon and then mixer, there would be a square to the right of "System Sounds" and "Google Chrome." It isn't happening any more, but just to log that.
