Hi all, I hope somebody can help me with this issue as it's driving me nuts :(. Basically I purchased a Clevo W370et second hand a couple of weeks ago and the screen is driving me nuts. There's a kinda blue tint/hue to the screen that makes it appear dull and it is giving a me a headache trying to use it. I believe the screen is a LED back lit LCD and my desktop screen is just an LCD and I wondered if it's just the fact that I'm used to the LCD.
Does anyone else own this laptop and have this issue?

    hi and welcome to nbr

we need to know what screen it is as if its a high gamut screen it might just need calibrating. a a picture of it would also help.

download hwinfo64 from the link in my sig below and run it. close the top screen and on the left of the next screen click on monitor then + below it. on the right copy the top 2 lines and post them here and hopefully the experts can advise.

I seem to be having trouble attaching a jpeg of the screen, I'm not sure why. When I click upload, the timer starts and then finishes but no pic is uploaded?
Here's a link to my pic, I couldn't get the attachments working for some reason

tbh, it's hard to tell what the problem is with this picture.

You could use a site like photobucket and just post a link if the attachments are having issues.

Yes but as a photo rather than a print screen it's hard to read.

It could be calibration or a cool color profile. But yes, it's hard to make out the tint in a photograph.

Have you gone through the calibration process that is built into Windows? Doing so could make it look better.

That process mainly deals with contrast, brightness, and gamma. The color profile is a little more difficult to deal with.

@OP: I don't know if software will help here, but there are a few utilities out there designed to allow you to manipulate individual parameters for the colors. Since we don't use anything like that, we can't recommend anything off hand, but they may be worth looking into.

Another thing to try is in Nvidia Control Panel > Display > Adjust desktop color settings. Under 2. tick the "Use Nvidia Settings" Then for the color channel pick Blue and adjust the sliders below.
