Is the latest BIOS for the W860CU 1.01.04? The one posted at Sager website? Why is it in iso format?

Most likely so you can burn it to a CD...

Correct. You can burn it straight to CD, or you can mount the disc image and dump the BIOS files to your stick drive.

Great. Does it include both KBC/EC Firmware and the BIOS itself? Where can I find the changelog? Sager doesn't seem to provide any.

I think I've included those in the Clevo BIOS thread.

Ok. I have another question, can you run the W860CU at the screen's native resolution even without installing the nvidia drivers?

I'm really worried on this, I ordered from RJTech the FullHD. I just installed Win7 right now and am currently downloading the Nvidia drivers. I can only set it right now at 1600x900! That's only the HD screen.

Do you think they were mistaken of giving me the HD screen?

Ahh, yeah. I can set my screen to 1920x1200 without Nvidia drivers...

I'm good, installed Nvidia drivers from Sager's website and was able to set it at 1920x1080 :) I was very worried for a minute because I can't afford to ship this back to RJTech since I live in the Philippines, whew ;)

Why won't the official Nvidia drives 195.62 install with this laptop?

They will I think. Cause mine install just fine. I think it's the subsystem that is not supported. Just download a moodded inf from laptopvideo2go if you really want these Nvidia drivers.

Oh ok. It's just that I was reading about these also on the W860CU lounge.

195.62 sucks anyway. Stick to 186.81.

195.62 is good for desktop videocards since it was always intended for it. But stick with 186.81 like Soviet mentioned...it is the most optimised driver so far for most laptops.

186.47 on Sager's website but go with 186.81 since it has been the best so far for me mate.

Alright mate just downloaded and installed it. Why doesn't it install the HDMI Audio driver? There's no option to install that unlike with my M860TU before where you can check or uncheck that option during the installation of 186.81.

    Hi,
    anyone tested the 1.01.05 update?
Because in the bios information there is a version information 1.00.05..
And the advanced chipset settings are gone.
I am really interested if there are any changes or improvements in this new bios.
still hope the silentmode will have a real function someday...
