I recently bought a W870CU and suddenly today, I tried to power on the laptop, it lit up for a second and it just stopped working. Now, the AC Adapter keeps flashing when I plug it into the laptop. Whether on AC Adapter or battery, my laptop won't turn on. Is it the power unit that's fried? How can I fix this?

contact your oem supplier as its covered by warranty.
have you been oc'ing it by any chance as if youve fried something then it may not be covered by warranty.

It can be as simple as some statics.
    Do a power drain:
Unplug the power cord, battery out, press&hold the power button for 10 sec, replace the battery, - see what happens.

As for the OC'ing. You don't have to mention it, and furthermore, if the system allows BIOS OC'ing the warranty should cover it just fine ;)

The GTX 285M had a Driver issue where HDMI wouldn't work until a further Driver update so it might not be your Bios.

No I didn't overclock anything. That's why I was surprised that it would just burn like that. It's possibly because the motherboard or the power unit (whatever it's called) is fried. I just called ProStar and they said they'll cover everything as it's under warranty. I'm just kind of disappointed that a premium notebook like the Clevo W870CU will just fry like that after only 2 months of usage. I've never tried anything like this before with other notebooks.

Let's retrace your steps. Can you tell in detail what you were doing with your notebook before the last time you turned it off?
