I have the opportunity to buy a Clevo W880CU for 1200 USD no tax brand new, was wondering if this is a good deal or not. specs:

17.3" Full HD (1920x1080) 16:9 LED backlit wide screen glossy LCD
    Intel® Core™ i7 mobile processor i7-720QM 1.6ghz
    NVIDIA® GegbForce® GTX 480M (Fermi) graphics w/ 2GB memory
    2 HDDS 500GB each support w/ RAID 0/1 capability
    8GB RAM
    Built-in Super Multi DVD±RW Burner
    Integrated 2.0 Megapixel Camera
    Built-in Fingeprint Reader
NETWORK, Built-in 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet LAN Card
    Built-in Bluetooth ver. 2.1
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Its on my local craiglist, I'm not in a great hurry to get a laptop nor do I need one, on the flip side I could use one for my trip to china.
Asking since I'm not really in the loop for clevo laptops, haven't paid much attention to them for a while since I won't need one until early next year.

That configuration was priced at around $2150, only a couple weeks back.

well I guess I'll be buying it, the thing is some times at dell outlet I could find a alienware with crossfire for 1300-1400 or so which I think has better performance but then again I prefer to see it in person maybe haggle a little.

Ok bought it, not exactly "brand new" as the back cover broken off but other then that, everything else is new. Not sure I want to keep it though, its too freaking heavy for me to carry to china but I might try it since I'll be staying there for at least 3 month.

1 - What reseller did it come from initially?

2 - When was it purchased, and how much warranty is left?

3 - When are you leaving?

doesn't necessarily mean it's stolen, though there is always taht chance

i bought my i7 930 computer from someone who bought it at ibuypower. Apparently the girl bought it for her boyfriend who broke up with her, so after 30 days she couldn't return it and just put it on the local CL, so I bought it for like 1/2 price from what the invoice 40 days prior said.

I was going to offer to buy it, for a little more than he paid, but it's too late now.

    clevo-w860cu-840qs-gtx470m-8g-7k500+5k750-1080p

my setup is RMB 12000(CN yuan).

    about 1800 $.

clevo w860cu will be replaced by p150hm.

but I still buy it because I can't wait for the SB platform.

You can't wait for a GPU that will be around 40% faster than the GTX 470M and a CPU that is a lot more efficient even at lower clocks?
