Hi I have never done tweaking on a pc. I bought a clevo X170KM-G with i7-10700k (125 tdp) and rtx 3070 (140 tgp). The reseller sold it to me without prema mod. Clevo control center has these factory settings (in performance mode).

    This is throttlestop

I have not modified anything, I would like to create a performance profile to use in case I need more power from the cpu and would like to create a balanced gaming profile.
I would undervolt the cpu (with steps of - 010 mv at a time and always doing stress tests with cinebench), then I would set the power limit correctly (PL1 long power, PL2 long power and tau) and cores frequencies.
I have no idea which settings to change correctly and how...I only know how to do the undervolting but all the other settings I don't know how to set them without doing any damage.

    This is cinebench:

    cinebench r23.png

    Idle temp: 37 °C
    Cinebench temp cpu package: 74 °C (79 °C max)

    This is firestrike ---> https://www.3dmark.com/fs/25604654

Firestrike temp gpu max: 66 °C; cpu max: 67 °C

Could someone help me change the various settings?

Concentrate on one part at a time, for a 24/7 clock you want to adjust step by step until you get instability and then back off 2-3 steps to give yourself some margin.

But what values should I set on power limit and clock speed? How can I tell if it's unstable or not?

Crashing during use for stability, exact limits vary from chip to chip, move in small steps.

But should I set the power limit as recommended by intel? Pl1 125, pl2 229 and tau 56? Or for a laptop must be different values?...I really have no idea how to change those values without doing any damage....

For 10700k you could try setting PL1 to 200W with max fans and start at -50mV undervolt. Run Cinebench R23 for 10 minutes. If it does not crash try -60mV and so on. Note that with 125W PL1 you will likely be power limit throttled.

Also I think your turbo ratios are not correct either. 10700k should be 50x (1-2c) to 47x (7-8c) stock IIRC. You may want to check with Raiontech if a bios update is available. I think the original bios release had trouble detecting the correct stock turbo ratios. It also had trouble running stable with any kind of undervolt.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Raiontech has informed me that they haven't obtained the prema mod yet. My BIOS is InsydeH20 v 1.07.01 (I don't know if it's updated):

    1621788310908.jpg 1621788310904.jpg

regarding instead PL2 should I set 229 as suggested by intel? and tau to 56? 50x (1-2c) to 47x (7-8c) could be good for a performance profile... for a more balanced profile instead could I further lower the frequencies (46x (1-2c) to 43(7-8c))? On throttlestop should I set the voltage (e.g. 1.35v for 5 ghz) and then apply the offset or should I leave the default voltage (which is maybe too low)? Should I set "adaptive" or "static"? And finally how do you set the fans? do i have to do it through throttlestop? bios? clevo control center?

PL2 should not need to be above 200W at stock turbo speeds. You can set the turbo frequencies to your liking, what I listed is just the stock settings. I just use offset voltages. For fan control it is the Clevo Control Center.

Power limits are more about what noise levels and temps you can deal with.

    Hi all,

It's great to finally find some other Clevo x170KM-G users!

I have an 11600k with RTX 3070 and I'm currently using XTU to try and overclock the cpu but whatever I seem to do it just changes clockspeeds and does its own thing...

I also bought some Balistix 3200mhz DDR4 Ram but I can't find a way to make it run at no other than 2666mhz, any ideas.

What we need is a Prema Bios that unlocks everything so we can properly tune those systems...I have no way to set the XMP on my Ram or to tune the OC on my 11600k.... it sucks!

    Cheers!

    Sources needed.

The Prema Mod is still under development...

Thats the last I heard of from Prema himself when I asked about a bios for the X170KM-G
I asked for a time frame but never got a reply....

    I recently bought a Clevo X170KM-G, i9-11900K TDP 125W, GeForce RTX 3080 - 16GB GDDR6 TGP 165W, Ram 64gb DDR4 Ballistix 3200mhz CL16.
Unfortunately I can not take advantage of the ram CL16 because this profile (XMP) is not recognized by Bios, therefore the ram operate according to the profile jedec (2666 MHz, CL19). I also hope to have Prema BIOS one day, at least to get the RAM running at their speed (3200 Mhz CL16), but unfortunately the information is little, and my seller can not contact Prema to become partners...

Hello What is the part number for your Ram ? Does it run at the full 3200 ?

Same for sure. What is the cas latency sitting at ? I have read that ram needs to be able to set xmp in the bios. Im looking into other ram right now other then the stock it shipped with which was high density ram might want to consider selling those and getting a new pair of sticks. I just asked the op what sticks he is using because its seems that its running at 3200 CL 20 low density dual ranked or single ranked
