Hi,
I tried for the first time this morning to OC my 1080 through CCC. It didn't turn out as planned, screen just froze. I had to force restart.
CCC is broken since this happened. It doesnt appear in the system tray when I start up my system, keyboard color doesn't change (sometimes it does though). I tried to open CCC manually through C:/Programs but its glitchy aswell: sometimes it seems like it's not the correct version as it shows different options than I'm used to (keyboard zones, no lid color, no overclock fan profile).
I tried to remove current CCC, reboot, install from Obsidianpc tool but the issue is still there. Is my only chance to restore windows from backup to fix this, or do you guys have an idea?
Model: P870km1, 7700k, gtx 1080.

You can try a clean removal; either uninstall CCC with something like Revo Uninstaller, or run a system cleanup utility after uninstall, then download from another source and try one last time before resorting to a backup or clean Windows install. -

Uninstall CCC - I'd use a program like Revo uninstaller because it will also scan for and delete any leftover registry entries. Shut down your system, pop off the keyboard, and remove/reinstall the CMOS battery. This will clear the BIOS and NVRAM. I know there's a key combination you can hold down when powering on the machine that is supposed to do the same thing, but removing the battery is one way to be absolutely certain that the reset takes. Put everything back together, power on, and reconfigure your BIOS the way you had it (might be a good idea to write down or take digital pictures of your current settings so you're not struggling to remember everything), restart, then reinstall CCC with the Obsidian-PC utility.

Pressing Fn + D + Power will do a BIOS and NVRAM reset, no need to remove the laptop cover.
Try this and then reinstall the CCC using the Obsidian Tool if needed. The version is the correct one as I have the same laptop and I also installed it using this tool.

Thank you all. I think Revo uninstaller solved my problem. It's weird though, I tried CC Cleaner before and it didn't help.
@Rynaus , does your CCC look like this in your gaming tab? http://oi68.tinypic.com/2zfsex4.jpg
I'm paranoid about that cpu oc icon. Only gpu oc in system tray though. -
I can tell you how to get the CPU OC tool to work. However I would strongly suggest to leave it as it is. Intel XTU ****ed up the fan tables on my laptop and I had to reset the BIOS, reinstall things to get it back to normal again.

@Rynaus us or @ocr123 - I am trying to get the overclock fan profile to work in CCC, on a Clevo i7-7700hq machine that is not overclocked.
Am, I right in assuming that this is possible?
- I want to be able to make the fan more powerful (like it is in 'Automatic' mode) for certain higher temperatures. Will a hack to enable the overclock fan profile give me this option???
Thanks in advance
