Hi, folks! The reason i decided to lunch this thread is 'cause the alienware guys has a similar one... and i'm pretty curious in what manner are u satisfied with your buyings, would u still be willing to stick with this particular brand in the furure? I've owned a Sager laptop a few years ago and consider of buying a new one probably next year. I was rather impressed by it's possibilities, cause i've always dreamt of a gaming "to go"The biuld quality was excellent and the variety of options u can install made me buy it without hesitation! i must admit that design-wise some Clevo laptops may not be as eye-candy as other brands but they beat opponents in almost every other way!
DO YOU THINK, YOU'VE MADE A WISE DESCISION BUYING SAGER???
cause i do![]()

It was a great decision, yes. I'm on my 3rd generation of Sager (having now switched to plain Clevo instead of Sager).
I've taken care of the three laptops (keep them in a nice cool environment, don't throw them around, etc.) and have not yet had a problem except that the increase of technology forced me to upgrade machines over the years.
Put me down as a very satisfied Clevo customer. -

I bought my Clevo for performance and not how pretty it is. I'm happy with my laptop, and it makes me happy too.

That's nice to hear, guys! I'm in anticipation of how far will technology go next year so i can buy smth like x7200 or it's future analog! The thing is that in my country we don't have any Sager resellers but i start seeing people are getting more interested in quality gaming laptops in here! more and more resellers open's up in different countries, so may be i could somehow get it done in here! that's my dream, anyways... it's getting really popular, am i right?
i was amased by how fast tech support works, once i fried up my GPU and got it sent with the help of my buddy to US and it was fixed/replaced in a few days! so in a month or so i had my lappy shiny and fast as new) -
very satisfied with clevo,
not so satisfied with nvidia... -
Currently have a NP2096, very satisfied. Moving to a NP8170, it's on order.
-
that's a good descision! i hope u won't regret it... i have stick with a desktop for now, while i don't travel much. But next year i hope some real beasts gonna appear at Clevo's posession and i won't miss my chance to by one of those)

what do u guys think about reselling your laptops over time? is it appropriate to by sager for 3000$ e.g. and in two years sell it for some good price? like apple or AW laptops, they don't loose too much in value mainly because of the brand i suspect.. so what about Sager?

If you buy a $3,000 laptop now, and in two years, it's probably going to be worth around $1,000 to $1,500 as a whole. You can always strip it and sell each part for more money. If you can't sell it, you can just keep it for your future children.

I'm neutral on my satisfaction till I see what is done for my dead NP8130... asked Sager for a bios update which they sent me in bootable .iso format, it even had a disclaimer that popped up stating it was only for NP8130/NP8150 machines so clearly the right bios, it promptly bricked the laptop after a "successful" flash... nice.

wow, i hope everything comes out alright for u! i don't think that's your fault so they probably get it fixed soon anyways... would be nice to hear your reply after succesful return of your machine
-
Hoping thats how it goes, I'd be totally content if they replace it or service it.
This is my first Sager/Clevo experience and how this is handled will determine if I'm a repeat customer or a disgruntled one. -
Certainly glad I bought mine, although it is one of the bugged SB models so I have to return it later on when the recall starts. I do not regret it one bit. Have yet to see a single issue with it.
