Basically, Logitech changed it's virtual 7.1 drivers mode "from kernel-mode to APO-mode". Explained here.

And it broke some games, obviously.

So they decided to "change the underlying audio technology from an APO-only model to a hybrid kernel-mode/APO model".

Unforturnately, this change, introduced in LGS version 8.81, conflicts with our Hotkey app, as reported here. As the result, virtual 7.1 output on Logitech headsets is not working, and since it still reports itself as a 7.1 device, every sound output beyond 2.1 is broken.

Currently, the simple solution is downgrade or uninstall hotkey application, but I hope this issue can be resolved in a new version of hotkey software.
