    Hey guys,

    i got two questions:

    1. where in UK i can buy Clevo laptops. i read the clevo guide on this forum, and those companies listed in the guide actually sell rebranded clevo laptops - and i need a pure Barebone Clevo laptops (at least 5-6). i have also contacted the Clevo office in London, and they told that i have to buy from them at least 200 laptops. Any other ideas/shops (online/offiline) where i could find Clevo Barebone Laptops.

    2. Can i actually re-brand a purchased Clevo laptops and sell then under a different brand.

    thank you for your help,

Which barebone are you looking for...

Most of the UK Clevo REsellers should be able to sell it as a barebone as well...

    1. The closest you can get to a non-branded Clevo would be from Novatech as it doesn't seem like they place their own badge on either M86, M57 or D901C. However, to obtain a barebones system is more difficult. As you said, Clevo will only sell them to you if you purchase at least 200 laptops. Most barebones you can get from the US, but I think DPCTech sells them barebone as well.

    2. This you might have to discuss with Clevo as you are planning to sell them under a different brand.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
i can highly recommend Kobalt Computers if you are looking for clevo's.
you will have to give them a call or ask on their forum (in sig) if they can supply total barebone.

to re brand a purchased clevo is another thing and only the OEM can answer that one.

nor do Kobalt unles you want it.

wau..... i really didnt expect to have so much responses in 30 minutes. Indeed this is a great forum. Thank you guys.

The idea is that me and my friend are looking to start a small laptop manufacturing company with Ubuntu Linux OS installed only for UK market. I mean, we are planning to polish Ubuntu for specific equipment with all drivers etc working perfectly.

So for some time already i have been researching the laptop markets and i guess that Clevo laptops are best to start from.

Thanks for advices, I have emailed Kobald about the Barebone Clevos. I dont have any clear idea about which clevo laptops to buy, but definetely 12/15 inches and i need to see what is avialiable in UK to buy.

Concerning the branding: i would like to out different brand on laptop as i would like it to be positioned as "With Linux Only". And yes, i know 90% of market is Windows, but still .... wanna see what comes out from this.

    And thank you once more.

There is no big supplier in UK or other countries. Every shop is buying them directly from Clevo. Any barebones that you woud buy from UK would be already too expensive to resell. The only solution is to deal directly with Clevo, but they probably like to sell in larger quantities not just a few at the time.
