Is there any way to order current Clevo laptops without the border highlights of WASD? I find that so distracting when glancing down to find home position. I can always find the bump on the F, but for some reason my hand gravitates first toward the visual highlight and then I have to move to the bump. It's annoying when typing, but even more annoying (ironically) when playing games.

Is it possible through the LED lighting controls to disable that border independently from the backlit keys? Or would an English "International" keyboard not have these?

Are there "replacement" keys you can purchase for just these keys to install which don't have the borders?

Specifically, I'm looking at HIDevolution's P775 and P870 lines, but this seems to be the same for all Clevo's I've been seeing lately.

The lights patterna are from the printed key cap.

The P955ET and PBxxxx are the few exceptions on the WASD keys besides the N-series. Much of the P series share the same two or three keyboards IIRC, so not much variation in design.

I suppose if you could safely remove the cap you could take a permanent marker pen and draw over the transparent area below.

Thanks, that could work. I was hoping not to go the permanent marker route, but I hadn't thought of going at it from the inside of the cap. I have read about caps popping off on older Clevos, so maybe there is a way to remove and replace without weakening the cap attachment.

That's the tricky part. They are not really designed to come off.
