Any Clevo laptop with a firewire port should work just as good with a firewire sound card as any other firewire equipped laptop.
Some clevo models have (somewhat) high end realtek chipsets built in too.
There is also the option of using the creative X-Fi Extreme Audio notebook on an express card equipped Clevo.

Another choice is RME HDSPe Expresscard+ Multiface II or E-MU 1616M Expresscard + Microdock M.

Sorry, the 860TU doesn't work with firewire audio interfaces; the Jmicron chipset doesn't like them :(

Expresscard and USB sound cards are always options if the built-in sound card isn't good enough. I do music and I'm going to be using a USB audio interface for my keyboard.

If you want to use firewire about your only choice is the D901C (which I have come very close to buying a couple of times.)

USB any of them should be fine.

ExpressCard I have heard mixed reports as to whether it suffers the same problems as firewire, as it usually hangs off the same interface chip, and ExpressCard - Firewire adapters definitely do still suffer from the problems according to every report I have read.

Who is up for petitioning Clevo/Sager to use the TI chipset in every one of their laptops? Make these things king of the world in mobile audio no matter which model you choose.
