    Hello all,

We are looking to purchase our marketing team laptops but DELL doesn't have powerful enough graphics card and I've heard of Clevo or Sager before - and they have nice specs but nobody is sure when I call them which laptops have TPM modules built in? We need TPM to encrypt our laptops.

So I think Clevo can do it, but not all resellers and oems use it.

I'd shoot out some emails to Sager, a Sager reseller (try LPC-Digital), and HIDEvolution. Make it clear you'll be buying a bunch, you should get a fast response.

However, Eurocom lists up front that their laptops do have TPM. So look at their Clevo P650 models (Sky MX5 and M5 R2s) and you can see it in bold even.

I'd shoot out the emails, and talk with Eurocom.

Do you need gpus? The P650 are powerful gaming machines. But unfortunately much better built than the weaker Clevo machines.

Yeah so the P650s should serve you well. The MX5 has a 1070 and the M5 has a 1060.

AFAIK almost all mainstream Clevo models (any P series and N series) have the TPM2.0 included. I haven't actually seen any resellers that leave them out despite what the service manual suggests. Might be region specific.

    Just to clarify this:

The Clevo P870, P775, P77* and P75* (for our reference, these are the XMG U727, U717, U507 and U707 ( SCHENKER DTR range) models which are the discrete GPU and socket CPU systems ( I am not familiar with all the reseller names but perhaps someone can assist here) all have TPM 2.0 as standard.

The Clevo P67*, P65* and P64* (i.e. XMG P707, P507, P407 / SCHENKER COMPACT range) BGA chassis have a "factory option" TPM 2.0. This simply means that when a company places an order directly with Clevo, they can specify if they want the TPM module or not.

It's only region specific if no Clevo importers in a specific region choose the TPM option where.

The specifications on any product page should state if they have TPM support or not, we choose to have TPM on all chassis where it's an option and it's usually detailed on other company's websites under the "Security" section with the fingerprint reader and Kensington Lock information. I had a quick look on the Sager website and they don't have TPM listed on the models which it comes as standard - Sager should know when you ask but maybe @Meaker@Sager can help here?

Dell definitely has laptops capable of doing Photoshop, Autocad, etc. The 7520 laptop can go up to Xeon processors and AMD FirePro or NVIDIA Quadro graphics. If you are doing photoshop and autocad style applications, the Firepro and Quadro will be better suited than gaming GPU's in the Clevo's/Sager's.

That depends on the application, also contact sales if you have any questions about specific security features on any models.
