I'm sooo close to ordering a customized Clevo M570u but I have a few concerns..

How long is the battery life?

If I'm taking it between Home/Work/School, is it built sturdy enough to be taken around that much?

    How hot does it get?

How loud is it? - I heard someone say when they were running things that took a bit of power it got loud while in class..I don't want it disturbing the people around me :O

I'm going to be using it for gaming quite often but mostly just internet and paper writing. Thanks for the help..I tried looking for these answers elsewhere but to no avail!

1.5 hours on a single battery. 2.5hours with the extra battery pack that goes in the ODD spot.

I carry mine around all the time. Just get a good bag! This thing is solid. Get a backpack style bag. If you have the money, I fully recommend the Booq BOA or Python. It have room for a couple books also :). I just love my BOA XL.

It depends. Mine gets relatively hot when BT and Wifi are on at the same time. When the TV tuner is active it can come quite warm. But it's not that bad. When you're home playing games, make sure your lappy sits on a cooler. It will do a great job keeping the laptop cool. I recommend the Zalman cooler. It's perfect.

Otherwise, if used in a cooled room it will be ok.

It depends. You'll want to avoid the RAM cooler to kick off. Usually it starts when playing games which shouldn't occur in a classroom ;). As long as ambient temp is around 20C, it shouldn't kick off if only doing word or web. Mine usually doesn't kick off at work.

    You'll see it's a nice machine!
