Hello, I just have a question for people who have any experience with the question in the title. Basically this laptop has HDMI and DVI-I dual link ouputs, but is it really possible to achieve 1080p at 120hz connecting to an external monitor that supports this? I've read that it may be that DVI-I actually doesn't support dual link even though it looks like it does on the connector at the back. And is the HDMI a type A or type B?
Thanks for any help on this...
Cheers!

IIRC the GTX8 series does support 120hz and the HDMI is 1.3 so possibly, but worth trying before you buy.
Also the DVI port is dual link on the non optimus and enduro models IIRC as they are hooked up to the dedicated chip which supports it. -
I'd be extremely surprised if it was Dual Link DVI, the D900F wasn't even Dual Link unfortunately, and that shipped with 280M as minimum.
Hmm the m860TU might just be an exception, it's hard to find out, but this suggests it has dual link DVI Video NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M 1GB GDDR3 Mobile Graphics Card for M860TU by AVADirect
EDIT: According to this user (service manual) it has Single link DVI: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...w-get-wqhd-2560x1440-working.html#post8860754
