hi guys im new to this chassis i bought a sager np7850, i7 7700hq, 1tb hard drive, 8gb of ddr4 ram, and a gtx 1060 6gb but when i go into the cpu memory over clock app it shows my cpu temp and speed and memory usage and speed and gives an option to over clock it but i dont know where to begin it says i can go up to 2800mhz but its stuck at 2394mhz im just asking some one to be able to guide me to get it a bit higher so my cpu is a bit more responsive stock clock is 2.9 ghz on the cpu and turbos up to 3.5ghz under performance setting and sits around 52 degree Celsius to 62 degrees Celsius im going to buy ic diamond and change the tim to get that maybe 5 degrees difference and another thing im leasing to own from no compromise gaming and there is an agreement stating that they can shut this thing down and lock it until i own it, if i do not make a payment on time or if it isnt connected to the internet over a specific period of time then i have to connect and verify and if i pay it off and decide not to upgrade they can remove said (software) or (hardware) i was wondering if i put my other laptops hdd in it and run my windows ten would that go away because i feel that its hindering performance like for instance it'll say program not responding while navigating through an apps menus for 30 secs or more and very sluggish i just received it today at 4 pm thanks for anyone can give me some inside im used to desktops not completely computer literate

Worry more about the CPU clock as the memory won't have an impact on perceived responsiveness.

An SSD would be the ticket to make it feel quick.

I've been thinking about an ssd maybe a Samsung evo 850 120gb cheap and effective but again I'm leasing to own I'd have to kill it over with the company and hop I don't violate and have it bricked by them

Get it cheap, clone it over using something like ease to do backup and keep the original somewhere safe to pop back in when you need to give it back.

And the cpu seems to be just fine I guess the slow disk drive could be a cause of that what about the Intel optane is that even supported on this mother board I know it needs to be a 7th gen i7 but idk

Ok that sounds like a good idea idk if there's warranty stickers I haven't even tried to open it and I have a sub 3.0 to sata data and sata power adapter and plugged in my old hdd from my Asus and it'll read it for about 5 min then it disappears and it won't let me re format it

Any warranty stickers should be obvious but the unit is designed for some parts to be serviceable.

It can fit an M. 2 ssd either sata or nvme (the two main types) as well as the 2.5" bay which might be easier.

The only thing that really bugs me is that they know exactly what the laptop is doing and they can see fit at any moment and dissable it I'm wondering if I were to swap the drive and upload a fresh paid version of Windows ten would that restrict them from any access unless there's third party hardware that auto install it's driver

A fresh install would restrict access yes, it would also be obvious they were locked out.

Yea I figured I'm better of just getting an ssd and copying the hdd over to it and then purchasing faster ram

Again the ram gains are not really worth the cost over the 2400mhz modules. A larger ssd would be better.
