I finally saved up enough to replace the P770ZM that was stolen from my house back in November 2018. When I went to Sager's website, I was surprised to find no laptops with the 2080 GPU. It also surprised me that there were no "K" series CPUs in those laptops. While I like the addition of the Ryzen line of CPUs, I just was underwhelmed overall. What happened to the "cutting edge" Clevo systems of old? I am also looking forward to the Ryzen 4xxx series laptops.

If I just timed my new purchase wrong, how long do you THINK I should wait to look for something with better CPU and GPU offerings from Clevo? I know some of you may have a NDA but you can say "If it was me, I would wait ___" and go from there.

Thank you all in any info you might be able to share.

The B450 systems here can integrate with 4k series Ryzen CPUs when the day comes. For the moment, the slimmer build Ryzen 4k CPU based systems are made by TongFang, which will not be bearing Sager badge. But, u might want to look those bearing XMG or Eluktronik badges...

The P series refresh is on the way as above. We do have the max-q 2080 online now in our thin chassis with the full power ones to follow in the desktop models.

    Clevo laptops with RTX 2080.
I think there are a few.

However, I would advise you wait for the refresh of these models, should be out in a month or so. You will be getting them with 10xxxK series and 2080 Super for roughly the same price.

Cool for those looking to upgrade now, existing desktop series owners would likely do well to wait for the you refresh.

Okay, my timing was off. I need to wait until after the line refresh that is coming next month. :)

I priced out a 10900k setup with 2080 super on parts picker and it was over 2k cheaper. I mean it’s not going anywhere....

If I were to get one, I really would stick with HIDevolution anyhow for numerous reasons. If Prema is going to work his magic, that's just icing on the HIDevolution cake.

Yes there certainly are a few benefits HIDevolution offers that Origin doesn’t. So they were my first pick anyway since I talked to sales reps from both companies and HID won the customer service round by a fair enough margin.

I’ve never had the pleasure of using a Prema Bios machine so fingers crossed I get the chance. :D
