Awhile ago i posted that i was looking for a laptop and was suggested a clevo. I made an awesome machine(only downside was the fans on the bottom) and i'm pretty close to buying it. i read the Clevo post but i'm still looking for more stuff.
Are they reliable? i see people lean towards Asus for reliablity, i don't want to shell out 2.5k for a Clevo that will only last 2 years. Whoever owns a Clevo, could you tell me how long you've had it? problems you've had etc.

Any feed back is much apperciated. Thank you for your time.

    *EDIT*
I was looking at the m570u, i really want a laptop for the summer and don't feel like waiting till aug for the m570ru. But if i did wait, would i be able to get a m570ru with 3gb RAM, a 512vid card, a good processor etc for 2,5k USD or under?

I have been using my Clevo M560A (Sager NP5320) since October 2005, so that's over a year and a half. It has been on 24/7 since I got it and there have been zero problems to date. I'm glad I picked this machine because it has yet to let me down.

I would imagine the M570RU will start at under $2,500 although getting one with 3GB of RAM for under that is uncertain. I would say that if you're spending that kind of money on a laptop then you should wait and get the best that's available - and that's Santa Rosa.

    read the Satisfaction thread:

I have had mine for a little over a year now, it has served me well and will easily last another 2-3 years. Its build quality is definitely top notch and still turns heads where ever I use it. :)

I have 2 Sagers a NP4780 and a NP5710. I purchased the 5710 in May 2005 and the NP 4780 in May 2003. The 4780 had a problem under warranty and they replaced the motherboard. It's still working today. I also replaced a HD and upgraded the 60 gigs to 100 gigs. The 5710 has never had to be repaired and is still working fine. I use it as my mobile pc when I travel now.

i have a m570u granted i have only had it for a few days but it is one of the sturdiess laptops ive seen and i haven't ran into any problems... if u choose to get one follow gophn's simple rules for heat management and the program to install the temp moniter and u won't have any problems

I have an m570u about a year old now. One major problem was the power connector socket broke off were it connects to the mother board. The mother board was replaced under warranty within a day. Very happy with the service as the bios was even updated. A minor issue is some very small creaks developed near the hinges but barely noticeable. I have a two year warranty so will see how it develops. Very happy overall.
