So my 485m died and had a shop had a look at laptop.

They cleaned out the laptop and replaced card with hd5870m from msi gx660.

Laptops boots and i can see the screen 100% no funny lines or anything.

Heatsink of the gpu does get hot it means it does make contact.

Now weird thing cpu fan goes to 100% and then the laptop switches off ,cpu heatsink is on right.
This happens around 20 seconds after i switched it on , tried without battery also

    cpu is i7 2720qm.

Basically I think something is telling the laptop to switch off because the cpu is overheating ,the gpu fan runs normally and does not go to a 100%.

The motherboard basically dead I think?

Your vbios in the 5870m is incompatible with the clevo bios causing incorrect thermal information and hence the clevo laptop bios is freaking out as a result.
Your best bet is to look for a clevo vbios for that 5870m and flash it and you should eb back to normal.

    Good luck.

The shop may have not known any better. I'd go back and see if they can get you a Clevo GPU.

Whoops. Yeah, if you bring it to their attention, be sure to inform them the card is likely incompatible and that the system requires a Clevo card.
