I am having weird problems with my laptop and trying to figure it out. If you look at this link you can see what is happening with my GPU - I have no problems with it while running NFS-Most Wanted but if I let my system idle, the GPU temp goes through the roof.

I thought speedfan or everest would be able to detect fan speed but it isn't. Is there any programs out there that I can monitor the rpm of the fans on a Clevo?

I'm afraid you will have to go by ear but have you tried cleaning out the heatsinks?
