Hi,i would like to explain how i fixed a problem i have been struggled with for months, even though i didn't know i had it, and make some questions.I hope that this can help someone.Note that i had the latest gpu drivers,i had installed every driver that came with the laptop and i was using the nvidia gpu,not the integrated.Since i bought this laptop, while playing nearly every game my cpu usage was going at 100%. I tought that this was a good thing since it meant that the computer was able to fully use the cpu. This also meant that my framerate couldn't go in most games over 30-35 fps,and a lot of times i had huge framerate drops under 30,even playing very old games.I spent a lot of time changing settings, but at the end since most of the games where playable i gave it up,thinking that that was what the laptop was able to handle. But when i recently bought some new games and i tried to run them,i noticed that even with a very low resolution the pc couldn't handle them.I then searched for laptops with my same specs and discovered that they were able to run that games. So after some months i realized that there was something wrong with the computer.I tried fixing the problem changing settings in windows, but it didn't do anything.Yesterday i finally found a solution.I always though cpus didn't need drivers(i only installed the ones that came with the laptop, but usually in desktop computers i don't install anything). So i updated the drivers(the installer said that there were already installed older drivers)and when it finished i couldn't believe what i was seeing.A lot of games where using cpu under 50%,and now i was able to run games at 60fpsI could hear the cpu fan for the first time! Now the questions: is this a well known bug,and why wasn't windows able to correctly recognize the cpu?Now that i am not cpu capped,i noticed that when the ac adapter is not plugged i can only reach around 40 fps,but when it is plugged i can finally go to 60 fps.I changed windows power plan settings a long time ago,so this seems related to bios setting. Is there a way to use all the power of this pc when the ac adapter is not plugged in?

There are chipset drivers which should be the first step in any system install.
