    Clevo p370em with 7970m CFX and Display port out ; Support WQHD (2560 X 1440 ) monitor ?

    Hi there,

    Question is pretty much as the title says - i have a Clevo p370em chassis with 7970m CFX and a Display port out - Just wanted to check if when using it in the house, the monitor could output the full 2560 X 1440 of a WQHD monitor ?

    Not sure if there is any reason why it may not ( 7970m only output up to 1080p or something) but best to check

    Cant think of any reason for it not too and cant recall anyone saying they have not been able to. Also the 7970M supports up to 2560x1600 via DP.

    Once you hook it up let us know how things turned out.

    Yes the 7970M will support 2560x1440 from the display port. It will have the same capabilities as the HD7870 on the desktop.
