Awhile ago, I bought a p750zm used. It worked fine, but the battery was unable to charge when I got it. I assumed it was a dead battery, but when I got a new battery, it was unable to charge past what it was charged at when I got it (~80%). When researching this issue, I found that it is most likely either a bios problem, or a motherboard problem. I can't find a bios for this anywhere. I figured that I could use a prema bios, but apparently that is only available to "prema partners." My laptop being a System76 model, is not included in this list unfortunately. Does anyone know of a way I could get a hold of a bios for a p750zm, or have any insight on the battery issue? Hoping it is not a motherboard issue..

You just have to ask @Prema nicely and wait.

Your reseller will have firmware for it and the charging to 80% sounds like the battery saving technology built in. Have you read your manual?

Generally the prema bios is gor experienced overclockers looking to push it further.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, the battery was charged some when I got it, but was never able to charge past what it was at out of the box. The battery was dead forever after it was depleted. I was unable to find anything from the reseller itself (System76). I was only even able to find drivers on the clevo site. Good to know I can ask though.

You can get battery from PC Specialist. Just send them a email. If I'm not mistaken ZM/DM/TM revisions use same battery.

You can find almost all drivers from station-drivers.com

Check device manager to find out your installed hardware.

You can download official bios from below link (make sure its the correct model) https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P75xZM/

Alternatively you can PM Prema for unlocked bios (which is much better than official bios)

Remember you need to update EC before BIOS. Once EC updated and shut down the pc, remove power plug for 30sec before turn on your pc. Then update the bios.

The original reseller should give you the files/instructions :)
