Hi,
I have p751dm2-g from Obsidian PC. Inside is i7-7700k (delided, liquid metal), GTX 1070.
I will use it for extremely CPU/GPU intensive computation (photogrammetry) in hot areas of near east.
Cooling modifications of Obsidian PC are really nice and working. But still I want to help to this laptop with custom made cooling pad, especially because computation time can be more than 12 hours/project.
I have chance to have custom made aluminum pad where i can mount my own fan . Something like this solution. By laser I can cut holes for fans anywhere I want.
But I´m bit confused with position size and position of fans.

Bottom tray is here

Original laptop fans are too close to edges of laptop (around 5 cm from edge). So it seems impossible to mount 120 mm or 140mm fans to cooling pad when I want to have centre of laptop fan and cooling at same axis. But I have no experience with cooling pads, so I don't know if it is important.
I can make it asymmetrical. But does it make a sense when center of the fan on coooling pad will be on "blind space" between laptop fan and heatsing (one for rigth side, second for left)?
In case that it still give a sense, which diameter? 140mm,120 mm or smaller?
Also I have 2 ssd, and 1 sshd inside. SSD disks are sometimes really hot (>70° C). They are mounted under the small hole in upper part of bottom tray. Does a give sense to add another fan there (bit complicated)?
I don´t want to make any modification of bottom tray (at least for this season)
Thanks for any advice

Here is my take:
Perhaps you want yours towards the corners more.
