hello I am asking for your help because I bought a p870 km1 g with a basic 1070, I received my 2070 installed in the pc except that it is not recognized in the bios and under windows I have mod the driver to be able to make it work, I lost the g sync functionality since how I can find it again and the gpu can be recognized directly in the bios without having to make a file mod for each driver update? I have the dsanke bios v 1.07.15. thank you in advance

Sorry for my bad english im french.

Caution: (I have the i9-9900KF with 2x 1080s SLI with G-Sync, not the 2070) but, I am running the P870KM_RTX.rom from the above link. (G-Sync works on the 1080s with the RTX rom)

I would make sure that your BIOS matches the above BIOS version.

First, I would try using NVCleanstall 1.9, (you can easily modify the driver with one line in the advanced section of the app) enable added unsupported card, and type the Hardware ID.

This same issue happened to me on my old M18X R2, when Nvidia decided to stop including my modded 980m SLI setup in their driver inf. I have found no simple fix (unless you can flash another modded vBios... that changes the hardware ID to a compatible ID... compatible meaning pre-certified by Nvidia)

what do you want me to do bios level motherboard or vbios rtx? I installed the card with this software it works but paq of g sync and I would have to know the size of the pads and the modification of the heatsink of the 1070, I have already started to do it just for boot but there must be other modifications to the heatsink to make

It's not a huge pain to do each update, laptopvideo2go does pre-modified packages.

    Hi,
Use dsanke 870KM1_rtx version, and you will be fine. I have done it with 2080, no bios mod is needed.

For clarity sir, when you say no bios mod needed? Do you mean no hardware mod needed or no bios flash needed. Asking for myself and to help the OP

You won't get that back, it needs signing in the BIOS from Nvidia.

The name in the bios is just a string of text, it does not so anything.

For clarity, I'm running a i9-9900KF, that I delidded and die sanded using the dsanke modded bios intended for the RTX 20X0, but using Prema provided vBios' NOT the included ones in the ROM package, G-Sync works on the 3k 120hz panel for me... BUT I am on dual 1080s....Which were officially supported.

But, unless the RTX 2070 has a way of knowing every possible certified configuration.... I'm having trouble seeing why G-Sync can't work on the RTX modded bios as it is a backported dump from the P870TM1-G, Alternatively I believe P870TM1 (non G) was the original source used for the ROM listed as being for 1080 users. (Double check that)

There used to be a chart on the main thread that showed the capabilities (function loss / audio being rerouted / features maintained etc)

If I come across a RTX 20X0 I'll test and report back.
