I am looking at one of these laptops both with same specs or possibly the 870 in sli, my question is which has the best cooling? I know there only just out but I really don't want the headache with overheating kit.

Thanks for any and all help.

@Stress Tech What games work better with a SLI configuration?

I don't know, as I have never experimented with SLI being off on different games. But I do think that Nvidia SLI scaling has been improved with every driver release. I get extra FPS from drivers 378 to 388.13.

That's the best approach. Go BIG and you'll never regret it. Runs better, faster, and has a better resale value. There is no downside to SLI as far as I am concerned. I have been running dual GPU machines for years and prefer that over single GPU.

I hardly ever encounter games that do not work well with SLI. Some use a game engine that does not (Wolfenstein, for example) but the machine still runs great. When SLI is not supported you get to enjoy the same experience as single-GPU PC owners. When it does support SLI you kick booty. I've only had to disable SLI for a few pieces of crap, like the UWP filth version of Gears of War 4 (Windows 10 garbage).

The K version CPU's have a better silicon lottery and have a faster resell for the future. It' a good choice.

A question about ram, the supplier charges a lot for his ram so I thought I'd save a bit by getting it myself so it's coming with 16gb of 2400 ram, can I buy another 16gb 2400 to slot in or do they have to be from the same manufacturer?

    So i went with

    I78700k cpu
    2x 1080 sli
16gb 2400mz ram (Will be upgrading myself)
    1tb hdd
500gb ssd (Will be upgrading myself)
    Ek thermal upgrade.

Shame my supplier doesn't offer any de ldding or under volting so I will have to try that myself.

Will also look to donate for the perma bios too.

Yes, make sure the RAM Is the same speed and manufacture for optimal performance.
1080 SLI is a beast especially with the new 8700k CPU.
Welcome to the party bro

Intel does not bin for higher clocks understand so it can't be guaranteed but yes you should hit 3000mhz and perhaps beyond (TBC on that)
