    Hey Guys,

    As the title mentions.
At time the fans kick on at 80 degrees and stay on without kicking down again.
Other times the fans don't come on at all.

I know Intel XTU can interfere with the fans. But this is a fresh install.
EC support has been turned off in HWinfo64.

    Any idea's peeps?

It's really annoying because suddenly I get black screen Nvidia driver crashes at 82 degree's every time. This is another issue.

Your fans aren't kicking it at all until 80 Celsius? They should rev at low RPMs well before that, and reach much higher RPMs/louder dBA at around 80.

Can you control them with FN and 1 (max fans on/off toggle)?

That is very weird, mine kick in at about 40C for the processor (1k ish rpm) and around 60C for the GPU (1-1.5k ish rpm).
This is with the Fn+1 Automatic mode.

Is the custom fan control thing turned on in BIOS?It should be under the advanced or chipset tab i think.

Did you flash any new firmware on it?

    &
    @Prostar Computer

Yes fan control is on. Sorry I should have given more detail. They spin up to about 1.5k and never really go beyond. It's like they aren't actively cooling. More like 3 pin fan from a desktop. Just 1 set speed.
In the odd occasion they do speed up beyond that to 3k, they don't ramp down.

@Meaker@Sager - nope. Not sure how it's happened.

This feels like an issues where XTU messed up the Fan Tables for someone.
Try a complete NVRAM / EC / CMOS reset.
Remove CMOS battery, remove system battery. Leave for 10 mins, press power button a couple of time, have sex with it, touch it with the tip, hold it for like 10 seconds. Touch it again. And make sure the power cable is unplugged while you are at it.

Mine ramp up based on the GPU temp and by the time the GPU hits 70C, im usually around 2.7-2.9k rpm.

Yeah that's what I've gathered. But having just done a cmos drain and new windows install without XTU I've checked that off.
Guess I'll try again unless anyone has any other idea's.

I currently have the same issue, currently using CC fan overclock profile which is loud.

I do remember when cpu fan actually was audible on load before installing CC (has XTU built in) and since installation both GPU and CPU no longer ramp up over 2k rpm.

I'll do full reset (remove battery and cmos batt) and run linux, hope it works, returning is difficult.

You could try an older control panel, worked for me with the fan issues on the P775DM3-G. I went to the Clevo site and downloaded the Control panel for the 'P75xDM/P75xDM-G/P77xDM/P77xDM-G/P775DM/P775DM1' which downloads the one ending in '50'. It did remove options for overclocking, but has made my system a lot quieter
