I just can`t believe the price of Clevo notebooks at the moment, in my opinion they are pricing a lot of people away from them.

I appreciate that they are quality systems but the price i`m now being quoted for the spec i want is crazy, i can get a very similar Alienware system for £650 less which is a huge price difference. Also the Clevo single card systems are even worse with the price.

I`m one customer they have lost, i have the cash waiting but i refuse to pay OTT prices.

I don't know where you heading to, but a colleague of mine recently (2 weeks ago) bought an M17x for $4K australian dollars. $4 freaking K! His specs are similar to mine, with the only difference having ATi 5870M x2.

I can customise the same spec on a X8100, or the newer x7200 Clevos with 2x GTX 480s with that price  and still have the money to buy a T-shirt along with a bag of some sort. I always thought Dell overpriced many of their things anyway. And Alienware followed that tradition sadly.

Then again, from the looks of it you're trying to start the olympic "flame" wars.

Are you looking for a quick ban from NBR? Because posting threads like this in order to mock other threads in different forums will get you into hot water from the mods pretty quick. You should read up on the Forum Rules.

Yes, make sure to read those rules. They are easy to follow and most of fall under common sense like not trying to start fights in other forums, not making useless threads that clutter up the forum making it harder for people with legitmate problems/complaints to get help.

If you do not feel that those rules apply to you, take it up with a moderator.
