Still waiting for Ivy Bridge, but that looks like the newer model.

What caught my eye was the gtx 675m didn't even pay attention to the cpu.
And the option for the back lit KB and it being available per the site.
Also the one pictured looks different(sleeker) than the ones I seen else were.

From the looks of it, that does appear to be one of the newer Clevo laptops.

As for any word on when we may see them in the states? I guess we will have to wait and see. CeBIT is coming up next week. All I can reply with is the Blizzard "soon" statement.

Not sure what to think about that one. It has Sandy Bridge CPU's under the drop drown options but further down in text it lists Ivy Bridge models and lists it as HM77 which will be Ivy Bridge.

Ivy Bridge is backwards compatible...guess they release the panther point HM77 chipset P series refresh with Ivy Bridge CPUs next week until Intel can deliver the new CPUs...

Which means its using the same CPU socket as current gen.
Remember that any desktop motherboard can support ivy bridge CPU as well without replacing the whole mobo. I hope intel does the same with the mobile versions. It would be cool to have just a bios update to suit newer CPUs althought some ivy features will be not available, but still it's better than nothing and it's an upgrade after all. Technically should be possible.

Looks like the price of the gtx 675 is going to be less than a gtx 580 same performance half the price?

From what I'm gathering, it appears that the mobile HM77 chipset accepts Sandy Bridge CPUs and functions normally.

So Clevo can release the new machines with Sandy Bridge, then sell Ivy Bridge whenever it comes to market.

So pretty much someone can just buy a shell and transfer all of his/her hardware from the previous laptop.

A shell with the new mobo and keyboard I would presume. But yes, that would be the smartest thing to do ;)

It just gives everyone something to talk about during the technology lull.

For most of us geeks, this is our lifeblood and without information we need to have something to preoccupy minds, right? :D

I just want to see what happens next week at CeBIT, if anything happens at all.

Though speculations do also tend to blow things way out of proportion too. Again, just waiting on official new is good enough for me.
