I believe that the list of Clevo resellers should be updated, since that's the first place people go/should go to find where they can buy Clevo laptops.
I have two shops for the list:
1. Schenker Notebook;
2. DevilTech.
Even though people know about these two I believe they should be added to the list. The first shop seems to have small prices.

I've tried to configure a D901C with Schenker Notebook and i've discovered that this notebook can be equipped with this processor:
Code:Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6850 / 3,0GHz 8MB/1333MHz
I never seen before this Quad Core into any rebranded Clevo (Sager,ProStar,Eurocom, etc.)
Do you know something more about it? -
there have been lot's of resellers that aren't in the list, gophn is said to be working on them.
-
My question concerns about QX6850 compatibility on D901C notebook.
-
Can you please provide a non european resellers list please?
-

Very good but noisy... probably fans run always to max. speed...
sorry it is in German
In Germany there is also Nexoc (good prices) and Cyber-System (very expensive) -
They are still ridicoulus expensive compared to ex. RjTech. But yeah. Please post more european resellers of the d900c
-
I'm focusing more on Clevo in general, no specific mode in general.
Yes, there is Nexoc too, but it's already on the list.
The only problem with RjTech for instance is that it's not European based, which automatically means you will have to pay VAT + around 220 for shipping.
Cyber-System ain't that bad after all (for the M570RU or whatever 8700M GT model they have in the gaming section). -
Cyber-System has astronomical prices... Just try to order and you will see...
To be honest I have till now very bad experiences with German resellers... -
I was referring solely to one model.
Your experience may indeed be a bad one, but I wouldn't like to spend 3.000 on a laptop (including VAT) just for it to break and pay 200 to send it to US. If a US reseller would offer a warranty that includes global pick up & return it would be a viable solution. -
That's why I didn't order it in USA... but I had no luck in Europe too... Maybe it is just a coincidence, I don't know. I only know that what happened to me with 2 German resellers (I won't say wich one) was totally unprofessional.
-
People need to know man. Where did you buy it from?
-
I will post a review as soon as possible (with photos and story of what have happened). It is a real sad and annoying story.
-
So where did you buy yours?
-
The first by schenker (mysn.eu)... They let me wait more than 3 weeks for sending me a notebook with the wrong cpu (with much less power), the second one I will tell as soon the story is finished...What It really disturbes me is that they are generally very friendly, but as soon there is a problem they even don't excuse themself for all the troubles and mistakes they make...
-
.
I've submitted just yesterday an order to Schenker for a mySN901C notebook with Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6850. First to pay i would know better your history with this company, because the bill that i must to pay is €3920 (about $5600). -
i have a friend over there who used them. he had nightmares with them he told me. he said he would never use them ever again. sorry to hear that man
-
Thanks zfactor.
I don't want to throw away my money to a company with so bad reputation. -
I am sorry Mauronen... But maybe you have luck and everything will be allright. You can send the notebook back within 14 days in case something is wrong.
I did it and I got the money back. Of course I didn't order anythng anymore because the overall impression was too bad. -
I don't want to risk, with that high amount of money.
I prefer to refer to other companies with high reputation. Actually XoticPC seems to be the best choice.
Unfortunately, i cannot foresee final price, due VAT and custom duties (i'm living in Italy), and, first to buy outside EU, i wanted to see some company in Italy or in Europe that could sell Clevo D901C, also rebranded, but either higher prices or bad reputation i cannot found anyone that could satisfy me. -
Mauronen, I am Italian too but I live in Germany. As far I remember XoticPC doesn't deliver to Europe, am I wrong? You won't pay custom tax, only the IVA (VAT, delivery cost included). For example: 3000 (icl. shipping cost) + 21% Italian IVA = final price
Computers from USA are not taxed with custom fee in Europe. -
6edo, XoticPC deliver worldwide (international delivery through USPS - United States Postal Service).
Concerning about custom taxes, it seems that italian custom applies a duty of about 5-8% of original price (product cost + shipping cost). This price have to be added to 20% italian V.A.T., so total price is higher from 25% to 28% of original price. -

that stinks 20% of $4g's is $800.00 thats alot
-
In Germany we are more lucky: Only 19%! But are you really sure that for Computers you have to pay custom taxes? I find it very strange... Computers from USA are generally free in Europe...
Where do you see that XoticPC delivers to Europe??? Besides they don't offer different keyboards for German, Italian and so on... -
I have 19% VAT here. I don't believe that there are any more taxes on imports from outside the EU. The VAT (IVA in Italy is 20%, not 21) should be the only tax to be paid; that and the green tax (which is about 2E).
They might install you a German keyboard at request (hopefully with nothing added to the price), as they are resellers and they can order it from Clevo.
They ship internationally. They have USPS EMS International Shipping (you see that when you try to order). It costs around 220$. -
Believe me: In Germany and in the Netherlands the only tax you have to pay for computers from USA is VAT (19%), but I really don't know if it is a common rule for all the European countries.
Here you can see the current TARIC (in German)
http://www.zoll.de/faq/postverkehr/postverkehr/index.html#post8
The German keyboard costs 55 , shipping 223 . -
Same applies here.
Shipping is 223$. But it's not worth buying it now.
Like I said, 6edo, the only tax you will have to pay is the VAT. That and maybe you will have to pay the green tax (which is 2E here) and applies to all products sold in the EU. No duties anymore for laptops imported from the US. At least that's what I know. -
I don't know what to do. XoticPC has a very good reputation and they also offer the paint job... Do you think we should wait for the new 8800?
-
As far as i know, its quite simple. Buy the laptop, get it shipped from usa, and sit back. The only way you will be prompted to pay tax is if you report it yourself. But what we in Europe should be aware of, is that we need to follow European Nations and their rules about buying laptop from non-eu.
EU states that we have to pay tax, for the stuff we buy online according to our own countries tax. Denmark 25%, Germany 19% Luxembourg 15% and so forth. Currently UK has a law that does not add tax to Laptops and desktops.
So yeah. Again depending on your own contry rules you can also ship it as a gift to a certain amount of value.
But yeah. Any other questions about law, tax and stuff, feel free to pm me.
Got like an education in it -
I would wait for the 8800M, because I wouldn't need a laptop now. If I were to need one NOW I'd buy it now.
You always have to pay VAT. Other taxes, besides the green tax (which is included in EU prices) are non-existent.
2000E+ gifts are not quite gifts. -

I would get it now, if u need it now. the 8800's might be a while and they might not be all that! u get what u want and if in 2 or 3 months 8800's are out and GREAT! then u can upgrade
-
the fact that that would cost quiet a bit doesn't play a role at al, does it?
-
People just find money under their pillows.
I found 1.000 last night... -
could i borrow your pillows please?
-

-
I don't ship internationally, sorry. Lol...
-
i'm willing to come pick them up
-
Bring me a Clevo M750RU on the way.
By the way, another side that sells the Clevo M570RU in Netherlands: Friensland Computers.
If I'll find some new sites I'll post them here. Europeans need to have great laptops. -
M750RU? You should buy better a tractor! It is sooooo noisy!
The D901C is much more silent!
-
Yeah, correctly, but it's non-portable and more expensive.
M570RU, sorry.
It's the one I like, even though it may be noisy. I'd buy a D901C if I am going to find someone that is willing to come with it here. -
Fade, believe me! It will make you crazy! Buy the 901C... It is portable! You will get big muscles but you won't have problems to carry it... The 570 is not much lighter...
-
I'm around 115KG and I have enough strength to carry one around, but I'm not sure.
I will not have a huge budget to get one in Europe, so I will be forced to buy one from US (if I will want one), which wouldn't be so handy warranty-wise. But I don't get international warranty in Europe either...and the price is huge for a D901C here.
