Hello again guys, I have a Clevo p870tm laptop with an i5-9600k and a Clevo rtx 2070 GPU, my problem with this setup is that I am struggling to play some games in VR as the GPU cannot keep up, eurotruck simulator 2, project cars 2 and 3, I want to over lock the card a bit more without it crashing just after a +200mhz increase in memory or core clock, is there a unlocked vbios for this card which will not brick it (as it is 1 year old) so I can properly overclock it? Thank you. PS: I have already overclocked the CPU and got some more FPS but some games need a GPU overclock

Nvidia signature locks vbios files for flashing so no, the best way is a shunt mod with liquid metal but it takes a steady hand and patience to do properly. It's how I got more out of my 3070 from about 125w to 175w ish.

hmm, is that only for the new cards? because in the past for the gtx 10 series you could flash an unlocked vbios.

Indeed, you can modify the clock curve in MSI afterburner but that's it software wise and it won't change power limits.

    No modded card or bios?

I was going to upgrade last year after the X170KM-G revision but figured a dozen more FPS wasn't worth it. Then I took. Leap of faith on my relatively new soldering and was presently surprised.

Now if I can figure out how to find blown fuses and bad mosfits on the 6 other Clevos and an YouTube examples of how to repair MXM cards, I'd be a happy tech!

It's shunt modded, hence the average clocks.
