Just wondering is there any difference between the two? I know they're essentially the same brand, just different labelling.

Besides that, is that all the difference is? No quality difference/design and so on? Obviously from similar model ie Sager NP8170 / Clevo P170HM‏

    Thanks

    Exactly as MrDJ said.

Just to elaborate a little more.
Clevo designs and builds the computer but they dont sell directly to the public they only sell to certain companies like Sager. Sager then sells directly or to other resellers in North America. So if you get a Sager/Clevo computer made for North America it came from Sager. Clevo also sells to other companies in other parts of the world like Eurocom

Also to note, Sager is not the only one to build on top of Clevo laptops, as there are various resellers that do as well. Sager is probably just the most known to do so.

So just to make sure, buying a Sager NP8170 or Clevo P170HM‏ doesn't make a difference. The only difference is the reseller who configures the system?

    Thanks!

Sager is the world leading importer of Clevo laptops. They have been for years now. :)

Sager are just applying a different product number when they resell the product to you. It's still a Quarter Pounder, even if some call it a Royale with Cheese :)

If you buy a Sager laptop, you will get a Sager badge on the cover.

If you buy a Clevo laptop, you will get nothing or a private label on the cover. For example, Digital Storm, Origin, Falcon-Northwest or etc.

You can have a badge or ask for no badge on the models :)
