Hi everyone!
First post for me here, and i m looking for a Clevo.
I searched post of a problem that i ve heard about the 1866-DDR3 RAM on the clevo...i didn t.
Could i have more info about this (real?) problem or maybe it is fixed now?
It s an option still available in clevo´s resellers website and i would like to be sure before buying one...
Other thing, I ve understood that clevo´s laptop are well made to change parts in the future to upgrade it. My question is, If i change the GPU in the future, for exemple, does the cooling system of the HD6990M would be good enough to handle a 7970 for exemple? Or the card come with a new cooling system?
Thanks for all answers.

Almost 100 persons have seen this post ans no one have an idea?
Please, I really need to know if it´s a usefull upgrade or if the system doesn´t work with more than 1600mhz...
Thank´s for helping! -
Hey, bud) don't worry, 1866Mhz RAM from either Corsair or Kingstion auto overclocks at startup, so no bios tweaks needed! Just plug and play and make sure you have 2nd gen intel i5/i7 CPU, that's it!
The cooling will, of course, handle the upcoming 28nm GPU's and even if the heatsink doesn't match the next gen cards size it should be shipped with the mobile GPU. From the pictures we've seen so far, there is no visible body redisign differences from the current model range, so i'm pretty sure the inside parts for NP8150/NP8170 remain he same. -
How hard is it to replace the ram in an 8170? I'm planning on installing my own SSD and heard that was ridiculously easy.
Is it basically just plug and play? -

Ok thanks a lot!
If there s no probleme with the RAM and if the system regognize them (at 1866 and not 1600...) I m gonna choose these in that case.
Good to see that the cooling system of the 6990 should be enough for the next gen as well...Thanks to the 28nm Gen!!!
Really helpfull, thank you for these answers!
