Hey all, recently I re-installed windows Vista 64bit, and after installing it there was a time when the fan ran full throttle for a little while, I had no idea why because I was only browsing the web, and my power mode was on balanced.
I had all my drivers installed and it was a fresh install so no viruses.
It never did this before, but I didn't install SP1 last time I was using Vista on this machine.
Anyways, now there is what sounds like a clicking or maybe rattling from the fan in the back left.
Should I contact xoticpc? Is this something to worry about?
I always keep my computer cool, whenever it is home I have it on a notebook cooler, and my room never gets hotter than 72 degrees F.

Contact xoticpc immediately! You either have something stuck in the fan blades that's rattling around - which is bad because if that something gets into the rest of the system it could kill it, or else you have a fan that's going bad - which is actually only slightly less bad because if the fan fails, the system should shut itself down before any serious harm is done (loose bits, unfortunately, don't shut themselves down before they cause damage :D ).

What sort of CPU/GPU temps are you getting right now (use a monitor like HWMonitor or CPU-Z)?
