Hey guys. I have a Sager NP9262 with an Intel Q9550. I am trying to find a PLL generator with clockgen, but none seem to work. I am wondering if anyone else has the same CPU and system and can tell me what PLL generator they use? or if someone could tell me another way to find my pll generator.

setFSB supports much more PLLs than clockgen
To find ur PLL open your backpanel and look near the CPU, it(s written somewhere on a little component.
I bet it 's an ICS9 serie PLL like other clevo

Thanks, but I dont want to open up my comp when there are other solutions. Does anyone know what motherboard the Sager NP9262 uses?

Try in setFSB the RTM-876-660, press Get FSB , if it doesn't say that you get a PLL error , do nothing and press set FSB.
it will overclock ur CPU to 3,06 Ghz.
but try it at your own risk, I did it with my M860TU / M570TU it worked for both.

Btw I dun know what you don't try to look in your computer , there's only some screw to remove... if you are worried about the warranty using setFSB would avoid it, as overclock is not supported by the warranty.

well, I tried the RTM-876-660, but it crashed my computer. I dont want to open it cause I dont have the right screwdriver. Mine strips the screws.

The D901C cannot be overclocked via SetFSB, or any other program. Its one of the disadvantages of the platform.

What about flashing a new BIOS. I know its dangerous but does anyone know if there is one out there that works.

Thanks for crashing my hopes and dreams. Na just kidding. I am glad you told me this so I wont waste any of my time. I would hate running Orthos for 4 hours without any benefit.

You only use the bios designed for that machine .... And clevo has always locked out overclocking.

Or you can try to edit the BIOS yourself.

Plenty of people have tried to edit the bios and all have failed. Good luck though, share the love if you get anywhere.

Im not good enough to edit the bios myself. I have computer programming background, but I wouldn't dare to do something that has high chances of messing up the system. I guess this thread ends here until someone figures out how to OC this bad boy.

If the PLL is in TME mode, it can be unlocked by a pinmod. See sig for details on how to check the TME_Readback flag to see if that is the case.

I saw a forum a statement that all core 2 quads can be overclocked by the using the pin mode like the one used for q6600. In the case of q6600 it raised the FSB from 1066 to 1333. For the quads which have 1333 it will raised to 1600 which is not supported by the motherboard.

I dont even want to open up the case, let alone do a pin mod. Well, this might be good for someone else.
