Hey guys yesterday I downloaded a naruto episode. When i was watching it noticed how dark it was as in like black. Like for instance if you are watching tv when there is alot of glare on it and its all dark you can tell what you seeing that has dark colors. Well thats how everything is for me. I first thought it was just naruto but i am watching invisible wall on gametrailers and its dark as around the corners and etc My screen without watching videos seems fine. Also games are fine as well. Just videos. What do you guys think the problem is ?

This is how the colors are messed up

If our screens weren't busted, why would the screen grab look weird to us? You'd have better luck with a camera.

Anyway, try using the nVidia display adjustment tool. It should be located in the tray.

haha so true .. That picture aint gonna do anything. Umm... well is there way to reset everything to default ?. in nvidia control pannel? Btw could this be a driver issue? Even though i been on the same driver for the last 3 months ... but i had a bios update recently. Could the bios be somehow conflicting with my drivers even though the bios has nothing do with anything after boot?

Just fix the contrast in the nVidia control panel.

Everything is at zero? Default settings in the NCP are 50/0/50/0/50.

Also, go to the Video & Television tab, and make sure it's set to 'With the video player settings'.

^^ yeah its exactly like that ! everything is default.Okay so after testing couple things out. I have concluded that my problem is something do with codecs. I viewed the same video in flash and it looked fine. But some how my codecs have messed up. The video player i use is vlc player and i used quicktime and both of them streamed out messed up videos. So do both of those use the same codecs ? and how did my codecs get messed up ?

The video may seem darker, depending on which video codecs are being used.

You can increase the video contrast by going into the Nvidia Control panel, under video/overlay, increase the contrast to make the videoplayback brighter.

Maybe try to reinstall your video drive?
