Is there any other NP8170/P170HM owner using Intel XMP memory? Because my system has problems when running with XMP profile.
At first, I found that it sometimes cannot boot up when running at 1600MHZ profile. Today it just cannot boot up with 1333MHZ profile!!! That makes me guess there may be some compatibility issues between 8170 and XMP memory.
Another weird thing is that whenever it cannot boot up, I simply pull the memory modules out, wait for several seconds, and then plug in back, it becomes able to boot. It seems to be signaling something I don't fully understand.
Of course my guess could be wrong. Maybe it's because my memory was bad, or maybe even worse my system was defective. Anyway, anyone with related experience, I would appreciate your sharing.
BTW, does anyone know if it is normal that CPUZ cannot read SPD information when using XMP profile?

You can obtain the new bios from Sager. -

Is there a place where BIOS versions are posted for download with release notes to show what was fixed?
I'll have my NP8170 on Thursday and will let post my experiences, as I'm using Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX (16gb total).
What BIOS version are you running? -
Congratulations! Waiting for your test. I also have a pair of newly released Kingston non-XMP 1866MHZ on the way. Will test that later.
My BIOS is 1.01.04fLS2, KBC/EC is 1.00.03. -
Problem still exists.
