Can someone list me all the compatible displays (name + serial) for the NP9170?

This question might have been asked before but for the life of me I could not find anything on it.

Are you looking for internal LCD's?

Then any LVDS 17.3" LED LCD will basically work. eDP won't and neither will CCFL backlit LCD's

Any 40 pin LVDS, there are some 50 pin ones out there and you want the connector in the standard bottom left as you look at the bottom of the panel.

    I am looking for a 1920 x 1200 resolution display for my NP9170 (17 inch)

    Do they even exist?

If only we could replace the screen with a 17.3" IPS/PLS display, that would be my life complete.

No because the display would be a different size as it's a different aspect ratio. The physical dimensions must also match the 16:10 ratio making it different.

Ah thanks meaker, makes sense now. I'm sure this has been asked before, but what happened to 1920x1200 screens on laptops? I couldn't find a single 17in model laptop out there when I was looking. Did I not try hard enough?

16:9 panels are cheaper and are the only ones made now.

So 1920 x 1080 is the highest res available?

Sigh...so if i want a great screen for gaming, I have to buy a machine not capable of doing so. Anyone have any recommendations on Dell's IPS display? Ive seen it on sale for 350-400.

Once you go higher than 1080p you require even more graphics power however.

Do you think I'd have any problems with a 1920 x 1200 IPS monitor with my 675mx?

I'm guessing it should be fine, as I run 2560x1440 at max for all games on my 680m
