Hi, I recently ordered a p150hm from Malibal and it was a pleasant experience.

    Here's my build:
    Display: 15.6" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED AUO B156HW01 V.4 95% NTSC Matte Display
    $95.00
Display Upgrades: Spyder 3 Elite Professional Color Calibration w/ Profile Disc
    $45.00
    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM, 6MB L3 Cache, 2.2-3.1GHz
    $50.00
    Memory: (8GB) 8192MB, PC3-12800/1600MHz DDR3 - 2 SO-DIMM
    $40.00
    Graphics Card: AMD® Radeon HD 6990M 2GB GDDR5
    $145.00
    Hard Drive: 500GB 7200rpm 2.5" SATA 300
Optical Drive Bay: 8X Multi DVD+/-R/RW RAM Dual-Layer Drive
    Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium; 64-bit
    $80.00
    Wireless: Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 802.11A/B/G/N LAN Card
    $60.00
Cooling: IC Diamond 7 Thermal Compound, CPU & GPU
    $40.00
    Keyboard: English: US & Canada
    Power Cord: US & Canada
    Branding: None

With that, I'm planning to purchase an SSD later and while searching through the net, I've read some compatibility issues with regards to SSDs and p150hm.

We may want to put up a comprehensive list of tried and tested SSDs so that p150hm users may refer to it in due time.

We always recommend Intel SSD's for reliability reasons, though users here have had good luck with Crucial and others.

Firmware updates have generally fixed the sandforce compatibility issues.

I got the Crucial M4 128gb SSD on my P170HM and its a fantastic SSD even when I come from an intel X25-M G2 this one gives me some amazing speeds:

I will recommend that you uninstall the intel-rapid manager from your computer since I realized the windows experience gives you 7.6 when thats installed and 7.9 when you do not have it installed (for the Hard drive).

    =) later

Basically, buy Intel, Crucial, or Samsung and be at ease. :)

Or just do what I did - get a cheap OCZ Vertex 3, update its firmware to 2.15 before anything else, install windows & enjoy life.

OCZ v3 has the fastest speed, but not as reliable as Intel and Crucial.

they have the almost same max r/w speed, but ocz has a max iops version with higher 4k random r/w speed.

$179+50MIR at tiger direct... not a fan of MIR
ocz vertex 3 (not max iops version) is $169+20MIR at newegg
