Thanks a lot to @Mr. Fox for recommending this great cooling pad for my laptop, usually, I would reach 95C even with CLU on the CPU and an advanced copper heatsink installed, after placing the laptop on this cooling pad, the temps maxed out @ 88C. This is with the stock voltage that is very high. Mind you, this wPRIME test was run on all 4 cores/8 threads which is not a typical usage scenario, this only shows how high the temps can reach under extreme situations but while just surfing the web the temps are around 39-43C only.
I think part of this great temps now is not only because of the fans of the cooling pad blowing but also due to the fact that the laptop is now well elevated from the desk so it gives it more room to breathe. Highly recommend this cooling pad to anyone who is experiencing high temps with their CPU. Heck, even if you don't, it's always good to have extra cooling and it cost me only $45 USD from HIDevolution + $30 USD for international shipping to Dubai which is very cheap IMO

Pretty good temp drops from that. It always varies a bit by model on how effective coolers are, but that is definitely worth it in your case.

quick test for you @Matrix Leader: compare load temps with cooler fans switched on and off, should give you a definitive answer as to what is actually giving the phoenix better temps: the added airflow or the improved positioning of the machine by propping it up
should be interesting for other users!

That's actually a pretty good question. If you can let us know, that'd be great.

I've heard good things about this cooler - which is rare, as I usually don't hear anything (in either the affirmative or the negative) about any cooler. This one seems to be pretty respectable.

Fellow pleased user of the Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS here! You may want to power your fans using USB ports with higher amperage (e.g. those 5V/2A USB ports from device chargers). They will spin much faster and cool better. Of course, they may wear down faster too but I have been doing it for past 8 months without any issue so far.

wear n tear of fans is waaaaay less than on the usual suspects (gpu, mobo, ram, etc) during regular usage, so ull more likely have to replace those other parts than ur actual fans

Should be able to get them from Cooler Master. Looks like they have the fans on their store for purchase.

Whoa, those are real cheap! I stand corrected
Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS decreased my temps by 8C
