    Hey guys,

I just picked up my 5793, it's in the car as i write :D , I'll unpack it when I get home. I'm now wondering if I need a cooler for it, and which one if I want to be able to use it on my laps.
My girlfriend has a 2cm (~0.8 inch) thick stand (not exactly cooler) for her laptop, and she's able to put both in her bag. I'd like to do the same, but from what I see almost all coolers are at least 2-3inches thick... doesn't seems very portable :(

    So...
Does my 5793 needs a cooler, or is it fine? (it'll be playing games)
Is there any relatively portable and fit to be on laps?

    Thanks!

I'm using a Cooler Master Notepal Infinite. It seems to be the only one that can fit on your lap as it takes in air from the back and not the bottom, and its vents seem to line up better with the vents under the laptop than the Zalman's.

Have a look at it, it's meant for 15.4" laptops though, so your 5793 will dangle off an half inch or so on either side.

Yeah, I saw that Cooler Master Infinite was recommended. How bulky do you find it? Can you fit it and your laptop easily in the bag?

Not the bag that the laptop came with, it's over an inch thick at the back, but only about a few millimeters in front. It's quite light though, so you're good there.

I get why you wouldn't want to carry around even more weight, the power brick itself is pretty huge and heavy, I've gotten in the habit of keeping it in the hood of my car when I'm at college, and only getting it from the lot if I'm low on battery.

Since i use the above cooler i will try to help.

I use the infinite Cooler Master with my D901c and is perfect,it may be a bit small for my beast but be able having it with youre machine on youre laps or on not hard surfaces e.g bed etc is a great advantage.

As for geting youre cooler in youre notebook bag i doubt you will find anyth that will be efficient and small to suit youre needs,i have the booq bag which is a x-large and i cant get any of my coolers inside (i have both infinite and zalman).

Thanks for the input. So, dumb question, how do you guys move your notebook? You only bring the laptop with you and leave the cooler on the desk?
