I have a Satori P170HM and it gives me phenomenal performance on games, but when i run most games, the laptop itself stays wonderfully cool, but the air flow is so hot that it's actually painful to have the laptop on my actual lap. Can I use the Catalyst Control Center to adjust the fan speeds to make the air flow be less hot? And while I'm using the CCC, what can i change any settings to for optimal performance for games? I'm not complaining about anything, but if it can be better, I'd love it to. If anyone can give me some suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Sager/Clevo notebooks have their air intake on the bottom so using it directly on your lap is not suggested as it can hamper air intake. If you like to have it there you'll want to get something to put it on so the vents have proper airflow. There are products out there designed specifically for that which have a soft material on the bottom so its comfortable on your legs and a flat surface for air flow.
Having it blow hot air is a good thing, its a good indication the fans are doing their job. Considering the components usually get to 85C under stress that air is going to be hot.
The CCC settings really are a trial and error as each individual card has its own tolerance. -
Fn+1 toggles on/off for max fan. Your sucking in and blowing out air to cool your gpu. If you turn off the fan stopping air flow, your gpu will probably overheat. Even if you turned your fan to max, the air will probably be pretty damn hot. This gpu produces 76-83 degrees on maximum performance(my p170)(stock clock)(icd thermal compound). You will need to plug in your power supply in order extract maximum performance from the gpu. Furthermore, the fans are located beneath the laptop, playing on your lap will definitely decrease air flow to cool the gpu. Optimal performance for games should be done in the game your playing. You can change it to follow ccc driver setup just by unchecking use application setting.
My suggestion is don't play on your lap. It goes for all laptops. You will eventually get burn and will decrease your ability to reproduce. -
There's a reason this machine is called a notebook, instead of laptop.
Anyway, a simple wooden lap table will solve all of your problems. I use one. -

Agreed with the others here. If you want to use it in your lap, you'll want to get a platform to put between you and the machine. Some here have creative solutions (a gardening knee saver, a piece of plexiglass, a chunk of wood). I'd recommend using at least something so you don't block those intake vents. A notebook cooler or a lap desk are good choices.
Turning down the fans isn't possible, as there is no manual fan control (except if you were to undervolt the GPU/CPU to be less power hungry, thus cooler and lower performance). The only manual option is max fan speed with FN+1. -
Here's what I have been using. Newegg.com - Cooler Master NotePal LapAir Notebook Cooler, support up to 17" Model R9-NBC-LPAR-GP
It is very comfortable, fits the 170/8170's perfectly and provides good airflow.
Cooling down/ OCing 6990m in P170HM?
