Ok I got the U3 and its shape is great as I am bad about using my laptop in bed when traveling, which is alot. But it wont fit in the case I travel with so I will probably return it. What other cooling pads are good for a 9370. I had an old nzxt but it finally died :( . My choices to buy one are rather limited as I have to leave town later in the week. So I have Microcenter and Best Buy near me. Got the U3 at Microcenter.

Should it fit in a travelling bag? Cooling pads are made for home use primarily.
    Get a bigger bag?
    Or a separate bag?
Or DIY a cooling pad yourself, that can fold for travelling.

Seriously, thats all the advice I can give you. I hope someone else has better ideas than mine.

So are you looking for a traveling case, a cooling pad recommendation, or both? 17.3" screens are harder to shop for. I've heard some have used a Dell carrying case for their Sager, although I can't remember what model the case was, and whether it was a sleeve or carrying case.

As for cooling pads, look for something that simply won't constrict the venting process. Mesh material helps. The Thermaltake Massive23 seems to have mostly positive reviews, but I don't know if that's a bit overkill for you or not.
