    Rather than doing that sort of modification, why not use Nvidia inspector clock shortcuts? You can place them in your startup folder and it will run once to set the clock and auto close itself.

    Nv inspector has a smaller footprint so has less impact on system startup time.

    There is a lot less risk with Meaker's suggestion too than flashing.
