    I have a Sager 5792. Two things.

How can I save my Function key settings as defaults? Every time it comes out of standby I have to hit Fn+3 to put the fans in quiet mode and Fn+F1 to disable the trackpad.

I have 4gb of Ram. Using Win XP with 3gb switch enabled. On every other machine I have with this setup I get 3.5 gb usable. On the Sager I net just over 2.5gb. At startup I notice that the BIOS and Video ram are shadowed. MAybe those are eating in to my usable space. IS there a way to change that setting? I don't see it in the BIOS.

    Thanks for any info.

when using XP 32-bit... it is limited to ~3GB.... been that way.

You must go to a 64-bit OS to fully utilize the 4GB (or use a 32-bit server OS).

as for the Function keys... it should all be in the User's Manual.

For Fan Control (as long as you have the latest firmware):
Fn+1 = switches all fans to Max Speed or Auto Speed
Fn+3 = switches all fans to a constant Medium Speed

There was an issue a while back where the bios wouldn't allow more than 2.5GB's RAM, what bios/kbc version are you running?

Edit: OK, that issue was with the 8660 (M860TU) but updating bios can't hurt anyway.
