I bought my D901C 12 months ago.
It's got a Q9450 processor 2.67Ghz, 4GB RAM 4-4-4-12 and two 8800M GTX.
My first question is whether my laptop can have its graphics cards upgraded in the future.
After the 8800M GTX there were D901C's with the 9800GT and now they're with the 280M GTX. Are these cards still compatible (ie would they fit) inside a D901C accomodating 8800M GTX?
The second question is overclockability.
I've skimmed through the forums recently and read of people overclocking their graphic cards. I've tried even with software like evga precision, Rivatuner and Atitool but it never worked.
Third question is that I read about guys here (Gophn?) overclocking the i7 on the D901C equivalent (okay it's different mobo different RAM ddr3 and different bios) but perhaps I'm missing some news that my Q9450 could be oc'd if I perform a bios flash?
Tbh I'm not really looking to oc the proc 24/7 but I'd love just to test it. The proc at 100% usage runs at 68 degrees which is quite highish.
But I'd love to explore possibilities of overclocking my 8800M GTX's... they run cool - idle at 37 degrees load at 60.
Thanks for any feedback!

280 GTX's are not supported with the D901C.( I asked every reseller)
From what I can gather the best GFX card you can put in the "old" D901C are 9800 GTX's.
I was looking to do the same thing too but was shot down everywhere.
Just for giggles I also looked into OC'ing the CPU in my rig, but like you never had any luck . -
68C @ 100% load is nothing to be concerned about.
Couple of questions on my D901C (on upgradeability and overclockability)
