How large is the performance gap? Most places offer the crossfired 6970M solution and to change to the twin 6990M route, it's like $75. I assume it's worth it?

Just trying to gauge here for future reference. Came into contact with a hefty sum of cash. :D Yes I know it's close to christmas, don't remind me. ^_^ This is my gift to myself.

15% to 20% I got the 6970M for free this black friday! so I did not want to spend $145 for $15 performance as ill be upgrading every 12-18 months . I had the exact same laptop for a year! it was a good one!the new x775 sucks with just one exhaust! how can you call it a top of the line model if it has no vents for the cpu!!??
getting back to the thread, if you have $75 you can spend go for it , if not i have one word for you. overclock :)
