    Owners of Crucial M4 SSD need to take a read of this and update their fw.

    BSOD Crucial M4 - Crucial Community

    My Crucial M4 SSD has not played up at all since purchased. Will update fw so when I reach those hrs I have no unexpected BSOD..

    We've already begun alerting all of our customers with that drive with the firmware update and the procedure to flash their drive. At least they caught it and owned up to the issue.

    I just updated my firmware from 0009 to the latest 0309:

    As a summary:

    I did not changed anything on the bios (not the SATA mode to IDE nor the bot priority) just press F7 and chose DVD drive to run the CD-RW where I recorded the .iso from Crucial.

    I haven't seen any performance improvements so far but I will let you guys know if there is something different.

    Here is my disk information as well as the Windows Index score, for those who care =p
